"I don't get how guys dress today. I mean, come on, it looks like they just fell out of bed and put on some baggy pants and take their greasy hair - eww - and cover it up with a backwards cap and like, we're expected to swoon? I don't think so."
That's a famous quote from the 1995 film Clueless said by the film’s heroine, Cher, as she gives her opinion on 90s men’s fashion. Sadly, this quote can be applied to the 21st century man, especially when it comes to the type of underwear he wears. I recently read an article from DETAILS.com called "Is Your Underwear Hurting Your Sex Life?" by Ben Kassoy wherein he argues that men who wear briefs, or venture into more skimpier underwear, do it out of a need to be vain or metro:
"Briefs, meanwhile, feel reserved for 6-year-olds, 66-year-olds, and suave Europeans with perma-tans and unnaturally perfect eyebrows. I think of Cristiano Ronaldo."
There we go again, that tired cliché response of "only gay men do this." Wrong. If men bothered to ask what women really wanted they would discover that a majority of women do find skimpy and form-fitting underwear sexy. Annoyed by Kassoy's article, I took the liberty of asking my female coworkers what style of underwear they prefer to see their men in and they all responded with, wait for it, boxer briefs.
"Boxer briefs are flattering to all body shapes. They help to enhance the man’s equipment making it more aesthetically pleasing" Said one coworker.
"I'd like to see my man wearing seamless, fitted briefs made with an almost see through fabric like mesh or rayon." Said another.
When asked if they liked their men wearing regular boxers or tighty-whities, they all responded negatively.
"Too ugly…too baggy…boring…immature…not sexy!"
Keywords words being not sexy. Let's face it, as men, we want to look and feel sexy. Why do we spend all that time at the gym only to cover it up with ill-fitting, muted plaid boxers?
"My boyfriend has a nice body and a nice butt, so I wouldn't mind it if he wore a thong, especially one made of leopard print or fish net. That would certainly get me in the mood." - added the new girl.
There you have it men. As much as we like to see our women get dolled-up in sexy lingerie, they too, would like to see us spice it up with our underwear choices. It doesn't hurt to at least try. As the saying goes "don't knock it till you've tried it." If there is one thing I could agree with in the DETAILS article, it's that briefs are "tuxedos for the crotch." So, live a little and dress it up!

Ive been wearing calvin klein boxer briefs for years, but i then tried some briefs as i found them a turn on!! The first pair i bought were pro stretch hip briefs from CK. When ever i buying underwear I always ask my wife which ones she prefers and she always picks out some nice briefs over trunks, she says she likes something to show my package off. So try briefs you might be surprised.
Definitely briefs especiall silky feeling ones with a lace trim or all lace. My bf loves me in them.
My wife loves when I wear sexy underwear. I wear briefs, thongs, jocks, g strings….you name it. It is a really big turn on for both of us. I personally prefer thongs that is made out of nice soft material…the stuff on bodyaware is great in the bedroom and I guess I am just lucky my wife likes them. As far as what other people think, I could care less.
I believe women are tiered of the old style briefs and boxers on their guy. It is my belief that women are just like men in that they like to see stimulating clothing on the opposite sex. When I started wearing sexy undies my wife asked if I had anything if I was advertising. She likes the form fitting pouch styles along with a back that enhanced what she called ‘my cute little butt’. As for lace in briefs, centuries ago men wore lace on shirts and other clothing items, so why not now. The low cut lace briefs are my favorite.
